When can you confirm if a title is region free?
All of our US Blu-ray releases are always marked as Region A (the region for North America) prior to their release, regardless of whether it will be region free or region coded. For most release, we are able to confirm whether it is region free or region locked at around the time of release. For some of the major titles, they might be confirmed up to a week prior to the title's release. If a title has been out for a while, you can always count on the region code-informationwe provide on the product page. Unfortunately, no studios have confirmed to release all their Blu-ray releases as region free, so we cannot be 100% certain that any release will be region free until it has been tested and confirmed. There are a number of studios that have only released region free Blu-ray movies. These titles will be clearly marked as "Most likely region free." You can read more about which studios we consider as "most likely" region free, and which studios consistently lock the region for their Blu-ray releases: Region free Blu-rays and studios
