In "ZATOICHI MEETS YOJIMBO", Zatoichi deals with conspiracy in a small town and must cross swords with Yojimbo (Mifune Toshiro).

In "ZATOICHI THE OUTLAW", gambling takes it's toll on a town, where even a blind man can see that justice must be done.

In "ZATOICHI: THE FESTIVAL OF FIRE", the 'Boss of Bosses,' blind like Zatoichi, takes an interest in the masseur, guiding him on the path of destiny and the duty of the sightless. However a chance encounter with two women might be the end of Zatoichi, as both jealous husband and the town want his head!.

In "ZATOICHI AT LARGE", Zatoichi helps a pregnant woman who has a hard time delivering a baby. The woman asks him to take the baby to her husband's house. But, Zatoichi is misunderstood when he gets there! As danger escalates, Zatoichi's sword-cane will fly and the blood will flow into the streets.

In "ZATOICHI'S CONSPIRACY", the flip of a coin leads Zatoichi to his hometown. Despite his extended hiatus, the messeur is caught in the unenviable position of mediating a conflict between his old friend and the home of his youth, with neither side willing to budge. Can Ichi do the right thing, even if it pits him against his childhood chum?

In the last film, "ZATOICHI MEEST THE ONE-ARMED SWORDSMAN", when a small boy is about to be executed, Wang Kang (Jimmy Wang), a one-armed swordsman from China, steps in to save him. Now with a price on his head, Wang Kang must become an outlaw to survive.

"ZATOICHI IN DESPERATION" - After a fatal encounter wth an elderly women on a decrepit rope bridge, Zatoichi seeks out her daughter, to make restitution for his role in her death. He finds that the daughter, Nishikigi, is the most popular prostitute in the local brothel. Vowing to save Nishikigi from this life of sin, he sets out to earn the money to redeem her.
