The Newsroom offered the unsuspecting public a glimpse into the machinations of the inner sanctum of the local news. And what a scary picture that was....

Overbearing news director George Findlay-played by series writer, director and executive producer Finkleman-is obsessed with casualty statistics in his quest for ratings, and in acquiring an indoor parking spot.

The tumultuous newsroom also features Peter Keleghan as the self-absorbed anchor Jim Walcott, Tanya Allen, the intern with attitude, and Mark Farrell as an ass-kicking producer. Other characters are deftly portrayed by Jeremy Hotz, Karen Hines, and Dave Hubbard.

Celebrities who paraded through the newsroom in cameo rules include sports heroes Alex Gonzalez, Eddie Shack and Angelo Moscsa and Canadian media stars David Cronenberg, Cynthia Dale, Linda McQuaig and Daniel Richter.
