OK, SO WHAT'S UP ?

Well, there's good news and slightly bad news. But mostly it's good!

GIVE ME THE GOOD NEWS FIRST!

We got rid of that darn shopping basket frame which took up a huge part of the screen. The shopping basket is now a simply frame in the top right side of the screen. There's a link to a more detailed look in the basket, where you can add/remove titles, move them to your wish list instead etc.
We've also made some slight changes to the top menu which should make everything a little easier to make sense of.

I SEE A LOT OF LOW PRICES NOW. WHAT'S THE CATCH?

There's not really a "catch". We have simply decided to charge the p&p individually on each title instead of incorporating it into the price. We have simply implemented a much more "fair" system regarding freight charges. A products p&p fee is based on the weight of the item. Essentially what this means is that if you order lighter items your p&p fee will be "light" as well, while box sets and other heavier items will be charged a little more. So instead of adding the freight into a "this-price-includes-everything" like we have been doing previously, the price you will now end up paying, will in a much more accurate way reflect the actual cost of packing and shipping it according to its weight.

The weight and p&p cost is shown in the product details as well as during check-out. Every item is indicated with an approximate weight rounded to the nearest 100 grams. Please note that the weight indicated is the one you will be charged and does not necessarily reflect the actual accurate weight of the product itself.

With the new price structure in place we have made steps to be more aggressive with our pricing, so you should see CHEAPER PRICES ALL-ROUND on our site. Most of our customers like to order only a few items per order instead of "collecting" titles. With the new system, this is still possible. We will not try to get our customers to buy more products just to save a few bucks on a slightly cheaper freight charge.

All our normal services will stay the same. There is NO changes in the way product are shipped, packed, delivered (individually if necessary) etc.

EXAMPLES ON THE NEW PRICES

Here is a few examples of the new prices vs. the old price:

Battlestar Galactica - Complete Season One Was: £25,99 kr. Now: £19,98 + £1,98 = £21,95 You save £4,04

Even on this heavy item where p&p is almost £16 the new price is superior:

Monty Python's (16 Ton Mega Set) Was: £63,99 Now: £42,99 + £15,84 = £58,83 You save £5,16

THE CURRENT P&P CHARGE

The current p&p charge per 100 grams is as follows:

DKK 9,99
SEK 11,99
EUR 1,49
GBP 0,99
USD 1,79
NOK 9,99

Most regular DVDs will be charged as 200 grams as the normal weight is around 150 grams + packaging, however smaller items like some CDs, HD-DVDs will be just 100 grams. Not too shabby.

...AND THE BAD NEWS?

The 10% discount "preorder & prepay" voucher had to go. It seemed to be a feature which confused a little more than it made sense. However, for those who likes to preorder, there will often be money to be saved as items with a "unknown" weight will be charged a 200 grams flat fee which will most likely be cheaper than the final price - most often on the likes of TV series sets or other multi-disc titles as these will often prove to weigh much more than the 200 gram flat-fee.

Also your credit card is now charged immediately upon check-out. This is also clearly indicated during step 2 of the check-out process. We know this might be annoying to some customers, but essentially it will eliminate quite a few of the "your credit card has been declined and your order has been held back" problems we encounter daily because of wrong details entered, cards beings expired, insufficient amounts available, closed cards etc. The new system will avoid a lot of these problems.

If you cancel an order after placing it, a voucher for the entire prepaid amount will be issued to your AxelMusic account. To cancel such a voucher and request a refund to your card instead, simply send an email to service@axelmusic.com and be sure to include the affected order numbers. We will then cancel the voucher and return the money immediately (amount usually shows up on your credit card account within 2-5 weekdays). Of course there will be NO 'penalty-fee' for such a cancellation and it will be a pure no-questions-asked policy on our part. In short; we are a reputable company now going on 14th year and you can 100% sure that you will not encounter any refund problems with us!

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY CURRENT OUTSTANDING ORDERS?

To keep things as simple as possible, we've decided to not make any changes to any outstanding orders. Feel free to "play around" a little bit and if you feel you get a much better deal with the new system, you can simply cancel your old order and reorder it. Remember; AxelMusic is a company you can talk too, so if you feel unsatisfied with the price difference on orders placed within the last week or so (which has already been shipped) let us know and we will look into it.
